Indian Captain Rohit Sharma sets world record with his third double ton
On December 13, 2017, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma smashed a brilliant double ton (208 not out) in second ODI against Sri lanka in Mohali.
Rohit Sharma is the first batsman in the Cricket history to score three double centuries in One day international cricket matches.
Anshu Jamsenpa, sets world record – climbed Mount Everest twice in five days
Arunachal Pradesh’s Anshu Jamsenpa became first woman to climb Mount Everest twice in five days. Anshu accomplished this double ascent in May, 2017. Though it was not her first attempt, she did it in 2011 as well in 10 days.
Indian sand artist made world’s tallest sand castle
Sudarsan Pattnaik, renowned Indian sand artist, in February, 2017 built world’s tallest sand castle (48 feet, 8 inches tall).
Sudarsan and his 45 students took 9 days to built this castle, which became new Guinness’s world record.
Indian Army sets world record in motorcycle display
Tornadoes – Indian Army’s motorcycle display team created a world record in November, 2017. They rode 500cc Royal Enfield for 1200 metres, with 58 men mounted on it.
Tornadoes was formed in 1982, currently holds 19 world records and national records.
