Luxury Hotel in Space

Russia’s national Space agency, Roscosmos is reportedly planning to launch a five star luxury hotel onboard the International Space station (ISS).

The cost of this proposed five star hotel is estimated to be between 16.4 billion and 26.2 billion roubles (£210 million and £336 million). According to Roscosmos, it will be funded by both private and public investments.

The proposed hotel will feature a lounge area with a giant 16-inch window. It will have exercise equipment and  WiFi. It will have four private cabins, measuring 2 cubic metre volume each, and will have large portholes so that tourists can look down on Earth.

The hotel will also have two ‘hygiene and medical’ stations. Space tourist will be offered to take part in space walks on the ISS.

Trip to this luxurious space hotel won’t come cheap. It will cost £30 million ($40 million) per person for a one to two week visit.

Russia want to welcome space tourists to this proposed five star hotel by 2022.
